The Provincial Ministry required the regional municipality to develop a service delivery model that established linkages with local substance abuse treatment providers and other related service agencies to more effectively deliver substance abuse treatment, eliminate service duplication and fill service gaps.
Download PDFThe client is one of five departments within the Municipality. Over the previous 18 months, the department had grown considerably due to the downloading of service from the Province. The department had about 360 staff working in 5 divisions. Their existing mission statement filled a poster and could not be remembered or used to help guide departmental decision-making.
Download PDFThe municipality had received significant pressure from its constituents on the gender allocation of “ice time”. In response, the municipality undertook several steps to assess the situation and from that work developed a draft Gender Equity Policy on the allocation of public recreational spaces. However, it became evident through this process that the municipality needed to take a more “hands-off” approach and allow their constituents more input into the Gender Equity Policy.
Download PDFThe municipality was in the initial stages of implementing a new multi-year Provincial initiative that was a partnership between three Ministries. It was the responsibility of the municipality to develop a comprehensive plan for the implementation of the initiative and submit it to the Province for approval. The funding for this initiative, pending approval of the plan was in excess of $165 million.
Download PDFOur client was responsible for a project that was a collaborative undertaking between a Ministry and broad cross representation of organizations from the voluntary sector. Our client's project lasted 18-months and was led by a Steering Committee comprised of a Ministry representative, 19 stakeholder representatives and supported by a part-time project manager and project coordinator. Our client was required by the funding agency to have an independent post-project review conducted.
Download PDFThe long term care facilities recently underwent a series of self-assessment surveys as part of an accreditation process. Staff located at five different facilities completed the surveys. The survey results raised several alerts and numerable conflicting areas for improvement where identified. To better understand the situation, the client required a more detailed assessment and provision of recommendations for improvement.
